Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association

ATRA - the Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association - is an international trade association for the professional automatic transmission repair industry. 

With members across the US and Canada, ATRA's network of automatic transmission repair professionals can offer you repair and warranty coverage anywhere you are likely to drive because wherever you go - from coast to coast - there is always an ATRA member nearby. With nearly 2000 members, ATRA is larger than every automatic transmission repair chain combined - nearly three times the size of the largest chain in the US.

Every ATRA member must adhere to ATRA's Code of Ethics - ATRA's standards for providing honest, professional service. 

So, when you take your car to an ATRA member, you are assured of polite, professional service, at an honest price. And not just automatic transmission repair: most ATRA members also provide diagnostic and repair service for manual transmissions, clutches, differentials, driveshafts, drive axles, and transfer cases. Automotive Service Association

The Automotive Service Association, aka ASA, has a storied history that began on May 31, 1951. It is headquartered in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX, area. 

The 12,000 ASA members perform mechanical, auto body, and transmission repairs and can be identified by the red, white, and blue ASA sign. The organization's purpose is to promote the best interests of the trade, increase its facilities for commercial transactions, and at the same time offer better service to the public. 

Also, ASA strives to advance the professionalism and excellence in the automotive repair industry through education, representation, and member services. The forefathers of ASA had a vision of uniting independent automotive repair and service facilities like our transmission repair shop into a nationwide trade association, and that goal continues to this day.

National Federation of Independent Business

The National Federation of Independent Business is the largest advocacy organization representing small and independent businesses in Washington, D.C., and all 50 state capitals. NFIB was ranked the most influential business organization (and 3rd overall), in "Washington's Power 25" survey conducted by Fortune magazine. 

NFIB's purpose is to impact public policy at the state and federal level and be a key business resource for small and independent business in America. NFIB also gives its members a power in the marketplace. By pooling the purchasing power of its 600,000 members, the National Federation of Independent Business gives members access to many business products and services at discounted costs. 

NFIB also provides timely information designed to help small businesses succeed.
