Ron Ingram started the Pro Transmission Service Center in 1978 with only a small two-bay garage and one other person helping him. Today his Michigan facility includes 10 bays and eight full time employees. 

He has successfully built his business by specializing in automatic transmission services through an extensive education and concentrating on customer service. "We pride ourselves in giving the best quality service with the fairest price," he said. "Everything we do here is with our customers in mind."

The focus on transmissions has become even more important over the years, which has helped him to really stand out in the industry. In 1978, there were around 28 domestic vehicles with automatic transmissions. Today with excelling technology there are a wide scope of automatic transmission vehicles ranging close to 800. "In our shop, we have literally spent thousands of dollars on resources and training to keep up with technology," he said. "We have our own resource room and our own training room."
